JOB SUMMARY:
The AFS Associate Project Manager will assist the Director of Ops with initiatives to maintain project timelines, budgets, focusing mainly on the overall performance of subcontractors.

Responsibilities:

Manage subcontractors and subcontracts, by:

  • Working with Ops Director & Proj Mgmt Team to draft subcontractor P&P

  • Managing subcontractor database

  • Regularly add new subcontractors

  • Honor a commitment to diversity within AFS subcontractor pool

  • Ensure subcontractor licensing and insurance certifications are current

  • Issuing RFP’s

  • Following up with sent RFPs

  • Negotiating, monitoring, managing and enforcing subcontracts

  • Monitor, report and coordinate subcontractor performance via

  • Manage subcontractor payments in ZoHo

Other duties outside of subcontractor management may include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting Director of Ops with supporting AFS laborers and skilled workers

  • Generate and monitor work orders and invoices.

  • Materials procurement

  • Timeclock issues

  • Enter and score job expenses into Zoho database systems

Preferred Skills:

  • An eye for detail

  • Bilingual Spanish/English

  • Strong executive/management skills

  • The ability to meet deadlines

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • The ability to liaise with and/or manage subcontractors, employees, inspectors, vendors, clients, community members and all other stakeholders

  • Exceptional organizational skills

  • Excellent data entry skills

  • Must be hungry to learn and gritty enough to work through the tough moments that come with a start-up environment

Required:

  • Valid driver's license with clean background

  • Own vehicle to move among all different sites

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week
