Together we restore housing and keep community centered. Here at AFS we have a great team of squadron leaders and field laborers that are directly hands on with the work we do. Each of our laborers are skilled in various different arenas from demolition, to painting, to framing, and more.

OUR HISTORY

AFS was founded in 2010 by David Lidz renovating and rehabbing properties owned by corporate banks and investors. Lidz founded AFS employing sober house residents, citizens returning from the penal system, and rehab centers wanting to extend a resource as a former addict himself.

While these contracts provided employment, they didn’t align with the social mission to return equity for the actual community where the homes resided. In 2022, through early investments from believers, most notably SEED Commons, AFS formed Waterbottle Co-op as a holding company and Rising, LLC as an impact real estate portfolio for which AFS would develop and renovate housing for.
